Introduction Employor
To start your journey at Employor we will start with an introductory call. During this call we can address any question and elaborate more on our services. After the call we will send our checklist and Engagement letter. With the checklist we obtain all the necessary information to draft up the contracts. Once we receive the completed checklist and the accompanying documents, we will proceed with drafting the contracts.

Based on the information obtained from the checklist we draft the contracts within a maximum of 3 business days. The contracts are then mailed for you to review. If there is no feedback we will share a copy with the employee and if necessary schedule a call to address any questions. After this we proceed with the signing of the finalized contracts. We will send the contracts via a secure link to collect a valid digital signature. Should you wish to proceed with signing in wet ink, this is also possible, please make sure that the appendix is also filled out and signed for.

After we receive the signed contracts, we will share a copy with your immigration lawyer. They proceed with the application of the necessary permits, then send out the application to the Dutch Immigration Office (IND). It usually takes the IND 2 to 3 weeks to approve the application.

As the employee will live and work in the Netherlands for a period longer than 90 days, they might need to have a visa prior to arriving in the Netherlands. Please check this page link to check whether your employee requires a visa. After arrival in the Netherlands the employee will need to make an appointment to collect their permit at an IND office. If the permit cannot be collected within 4 months, the employee must collect a sticker in the meantime. This sticker will allow the employee to continue working in the Netherlands.

Your employee can start to work through our payroll after they have relocated to the Netherlands. Once the employee has relocated, they must make an appointment to register at their municipality. During this appointment the employee will receive their BSN which is the Dutch social security number. Also, the employee must have a Dutch health insurance within 4 months of their arrival in the Netherlands

Once the employee shares their BSN and residency address, we will send the employee an activation link for our online HR platform. Here they will also find 2 onboarding forms that require their signature. Further on this HR platform they can update personal information, find payslips, request leave and much more.
This is how we can help
For international employers, hiring in the Netherlands can seem complex. As your employer of record (EOR) or professional employer organisation (PEO), we’re here to help. Not only do we support with hiring without having to establish a local legal entity, but we also help you to navigate other aspects that need to be taken into account when tapping into the Dutch labour market.
